1- The wires on the lights drop down to the main wires at the cut marks to allow cutting of the main wires. If you were to cut outside the designated cutting intervals, there is a potential for the entire spool to go out.
2- Correct, no harm will come to the lights if the polarity is reversed.
3- The length of the rope light does not include the power cord attached.
4- Omnidirectional is a 360 degree shine, Directional is a 180 degree shine.
