These light bulbs are not dimmable and you can use the C7 sockets with this one. Looks like the one with the largest spacing of the sockets would be 18 inches and that is for a SPT2 wire spool. Here is link to the C7 sockets and wire sets https://www.birddogdistributing.com/c7-string-lights/
