You can direct wire the lighting as long as the rectifier that is in line on the power cord stays in line. The rectifier is what converts 120v AC power to 120v DC power without the rectifier in line, the lights will flicker. We recommend consulting a licensed electrician when hard wiring. Please note that altering the power cord will result in voiding the 30 day warranty on the accessory.
